Venn Miles - Opening This Saturday
‘Act Out, Desire Me’
We are delighted to present ‘Act Out, Desire Me’, the second solo exhibition by Venn Miles with the House.
This new body of work continues Miles’ exploration of narrative and figuration, drawing on everyday subjects to construct scenes that feel both intimate and psychologically charged. Balancing elements of the imagined with a grounded, his works move between the familiar and the uncanny.
Through a sensitive interplay of composition, gesture, and mark-making, Miles invites a deeper reflection on the human condition - where notions of beauty, desire, and identity are both questioned and reimagined.

We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the lands and waters of the Guringai peoples. We recognise their deep and enduring connection to Country, and the wisdom, strength and care they have shared across generations.
We pay our respects to Elders past and present, and extend that respect to all First Nations peoples, knowing that sovereignty has never been ceded. Always was, always will be Aboriginal land.
We value inclusivity. There is no ego, no pressure & no judgement in our world.
