Welcome to HAKE, House Of Art.

HAKE House of Art is a multidisciplinary gallery space located in Dee Why in the northern beaches of Sydney on Guringai Land. A creative space that’s driven by contemporary art with a consciousness of modern interior aesthetics.

Founded in 2022 by Ash Holmes, Jake Elliott and Sammy Nugent, HAKE has become an immersive creative environment. HAKE now proudly represents a diverse roster of 22 wonderfully talented artists and displays monthly exhibitions, featuring a mix of emerging and established artists.

HAKE works with Artists who deeply resonate with their environment, hold a profound appreciation for nature and recognise the significance of engaging with Indigenous lands. HAKE hopes to provide unwavering support to their Artists, encouraging them to take bold creative risks within their practice. HAKE serves as a nurturing vessel, embracing creation with the utmost care and respect.

HAKE aesthetic reflects Japanese notes to recognise their craft culture, which sees the value in the handmade and appreciation for items ageing well over time — to only make small quantities of handmade items with the intention that they will last a lifetime. We invite our Artists and artworks to have the same meaning.
