Ksenia Sandesko.

Ksenia Sandesko (b. 1996, Ukraine) is an artist living and working in Moscow. In her practice, she explores the human body as both a physical and metaphysical presence. She studied painting at the Kharkiv Academy of Design and Arts and continued her education in contemporary art programs, including the Free Studios at the Moscow Museum of Contemporary Art.The artist’s works have been shown in solo and group exhibitions, including her first solo show Moments (2021, Moscow) and Physiology of Nature (2024, Askeri Gallery, Moscow). Her artistic research focuses on the body as a carrier of memory and identity, a space where intimacy and alienation, presence and dissolution coexist.

"As an artist, my goal is to explore the connection between figurative and abstract art in my work.
I convey my inner experiences and feelings through human images. What interests me is the dialogue between realistically depicted forms and dynamic, abstract backgrounds. I refuse the correct interpretation of the surrounding world, and create my own, which I reproduce through chaotic spots, cunning weaves of fabrics, various combinations of color and texture."
