Skye Jamieson.
Skye Jamieson is a Brisbane-based painter whose practice approaches painting as a form of prayer. Jamieson studied at the ANU School of Art and Design at the ANU (2013–2021) and has shown nationally in Australia.
Jamieson’s practice is grounded in a sense of devotion, her studio operates as a contemplative space where preparation, ceremony, and the intelligence of her materials guide the emergence of each work.
Daily walks form part of her practice, extending the studio into the landscape and attuning her to the rhythms of her environment.
Through abstraction, Jamieson seeks to give form to states that are often intangible — experiences of trust, openness, and presence. Her paintings hold space for what is felt as well as seen, offering themselves as quiet blessings that invite reflection, intimacy, and care.
