“This piece was created down the coast, where I spent a few days alone painting. I worked outside, laying the canvas directly on the grass. After applying a layer, I left it overnight, allowing the landscape itself to collaborate with the work. By morning, the dew had settled into the surface, causing the pigment to bleed and form its own organic shapes.
I’m drawn to this kind of post-human element, inviting natural forces beyond my control to intervene. It becomes a quiet surrender, letting the environment take part in the creative process, shaping the work in ways I never could on my own.”
